The concept of the Internet of Me is influencing strategies and its evolution has been required to meet their growing demands. Join Craig this morning in exploring:
•             Being there in the moments that matter – anticipating needs rather than responding to them
•             The importance of utilizing data in order to create a valuable experience

8:40 - 9:10 Revolutionising your value chain through digital transformation

Lucy Sykes, Business Chief Information Offcier, Business Enabling Technologies,Lego
2004 was the year Lego found itself on the verge of bankruptcy. Strategically deciding to go back to their roots,
and focus on their core product, the brick, Lego has experienced a profit margin of 10% YoY since 2014. Despite the
general population becoming increasingly digitally focused, it became apparent that a child’s physical play remains
just as important as the digital play they have access to. Determining the marriage of the two, allowed Lego to focus
on the physical, whilst exploring opportunities in the digital and connected space. This session will focus on:
• Rediscovering legacy in a digital customer for the 3 dimensional world
• Combination of the physical and the digital – creating a connected experience
• Treating data as an asset – becoming more data driven to drive the business
• Product development: driving innovation through your customer-centric strategies

She will be telling us what it takes to go beyond Everest - how climbers innovate when the world’s highest mountain
has been reduced to a queue of paying clients. How a team plans for a high Himalaya climb that has never been done
before and what happens when the plan turns out to be inadequate for the extreme reality of the challenge.
Through innovative use of technology, you will be joining her in the key decision moments on the climb.

- Mapping personal data need not stop at personal data – use the legal imperatives of GDPR to minimise, categorise and realise data across all use cases.
- Data subjects are people, too. Help your business to become a trusted partner in their daily life. Turn your business into a privacy “app” for consumers and keep them close to you.
